    1. Last week I saw a facebook post about this series and decided to watch it, not knowing anything about it. I absolutely loved it and as soon as I finished season 1 I began the manga and read all 196 chapters then watched the anime again and now I'm currently rereading the manga again, on chapter 86 at the moment.
I love Yona I think she is an amazing character. She goes from being pampered naive obnoxious to brave passionate resilient determined young woman. The thing I especially love is that Yona is just a normal girl with no special powers or abilities. She is physically weak and yet she doesn't let her weaknesses keep her down. She acknowledges her weaknesses and does something to become stronger. She doesn't let herself be a victim, instead she gets up and trains and fights and goes out to make a difference, to help others. And other people see that she's weak but they also see her kindness and bravery and determination to want to become stronger and have the ability to help and this inspires others to want to become stronger and better too. This is why Jae-Ha who always vauled his freedom first decided to follow her. Slight spoilers – We see this in the manga with Tae-jun Kan who went from this spoiled brat who wanted to kill Hak and take Yona as his to this selfless guy who went out of his comfort zone to help the sick and make life better for fire tribe citizens, all because Yona inspired him to become better. Same with Lili, when she saw Yona protecting her against men way stronger than her but not backing down or giving into her fear but standing strong and fighting back and Lili saw that and she wanted to become strong like Yona.

    2. Darn, I thought this was episode 4's reaction when I quickly glanced at the notification!

I plan on buying the entire manga series (one volume at a time) as I really like the story and characters!! Come on pay day!
